Doctor’s Visits

Unlike in Europe, where family doctors may visit your home, in Thailand a patient usually visits a doctor at a hospital clinic. CAREWELL works closely with the Bangkok International Hospital and Siriroj International Hospital and Mission Hospital in Phuket. Together we can offer a "Family Doctor Service" for our residents. If required or according to the wishes of the residents, a doctor can make house visits in CAREWELL.

Hospitals

The health care system in Phuket is of a very high international standard. There are a great many hospitals and clinics are located all over the island. Just in October 2015 another international hospital has opened up and is run under the auspices of Bangkok Hospital.

Indeed, treatment quality and facility standards are of such a high quality, that tourists from around the world visit Phuket specifically to undergo first-class medical treatment—at a fraction of the Western costs. Thailand is developing as a medical hub for both elective and non-elective medical treatment. Hospital clinics often have more of a hotel feel rather than a hospital. This feeling is confirmed in the wards, which are more like hotel rooms than hospital rooms. Foreign patients can be provided with an interpreter and doctors speak English well.

Dentists

International hospitals have departments with outstanding dental clinics. Numerous, excellent private dental practices in Phuket offer a service at quality levels comparable to western dentists. However, the cost of these comparable services in Thailand are approximately only 30% of the costs in Europe, Switzerland and the United States.
