History of a Nursing Home

September 2011 – Establishement

Establishment of CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. as registered company by Thai law with 3 shareholders and 2 million Thai baht in share capital.

1. January 2012 – Grand Opening

CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. has recruited and hired its first employees: six nurses and two maids. So far, we don't have any guests yet ...

4. October 2012 – The Second Guest

Our second guest from Singapore arrives at Baan Tschuai duu lää, as our nursing home is officially called.

15. May 2013 – 8 Residents and 29 Employees

Eight long-term guests are now residing at Baan Tschuai duu lää and the two guest villas are fully booked. CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. employs 29 employees, most are nurses complemented by maids and support staff.

30. June 2014 – Moving to Rawai Beach

CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. relocates with all its guests to the beautiful Rawai Beach. Five beautiful pool villas await our guests. Baan Tschuai Duu Lää now boasts its own restaurant and is located only 300 meters from Rawai beach.

1. November 2014 – Physical Therapy at Baan Tschuai Duu Lä

Baan Tschuai Duu Lää is starting to establish its in-house, independent physiotherapy department with trained physiotherapists.

30. September 2015 – 18 Long-term Residents

By now 18 long-term guests live at the Baan Tschuai Duu Lää elderly care facility in Phuket. We employ 50 staff.

October 2016 – Start of new construction project

In October 2016 we started the kick off meeting for the project “Sino Rawai”. We have defined the requirements for the infrastructure, the guest rooms, the basic layout, house technology, water supply, wastewater management, electrical installations, etc.

November 2017 – The new face of “Sino Rawai”

The work is progressing quickly, it can be guessed how CAREWELL “Sino Rawai” will look in the future.

April 2018 – We move in the new “Sino Rawai”

April 2018 the time has come, CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. moves with all of its guests and employees to its new home, our Care Resort “Sino Rawai”.

February 2020 – Our new Website is online

We are proud to be able to put our new website and the image film about CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. online. We hope that you will enjoy our new and fresh appearance as much as we do.

2021 – Preparation CWS for Nursing home certification

Register with the Thai Ministry of Health for official certification as a registered nursing home. All processes documented and employees trained. Three internal audits conducted.

September 2021 – 10 years of CAREWELL-SERVICE

In September 2021 we celebrated our 10th company anniversary with all of our guests, employees, friends and relatives.

2023 – “Sino Villa Ursula” is available to our guests

The renovation phase has been completed and the villa – Ursula, directly adjacent to the CAREWELL care resort with a studio and two rooms, is now available to our guests.

Nursing Home in Phuket

Baan Tschuai Duu Lää is a nursing home in Phuket, Thailand. Learn how CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. has established itself as a prime elderly, Alzheimer's and dementia care facility over the past five years.

29. October 2011 – First Guest Villa

We rent our first guest villa in Rawai with 4 rooms and initiate the furnishing process.

8. April 2012 – The First Guest

Our first guest has arrived from Germany. He has the entire villa with pool to himself and the five employees take care of him.

30. October 2012 – Three Guests and 13 Staff

Things are now beginning to develop quickly: our third guest, a lady from Singapore, joins us at Baan Tschuai Duu Lää and we have already employed 13 staff members.

10. August 2013 – 12 Residents and 36 Employees

Two new guests from Switzerland arrive at t Baan Tschuai Duu Lää. With 14 long-term guests and 36 employees, it is safe to say that CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. is now an established Alzheimer's, Dementia and Elderly Care facility in Thailand.

1. October 2014 – Emergency Room and Administration

Administrative services has been established in in Villa 5. The villa also contains a newly converted emergency room for our guests including an electric hospital bed.

30. March 2015 – 15 Residents and 50 Employees

By now 15 long-term guests live at the Baan Tschuai Duu Lää elderly care facility in Phuket. We employ 50 staff.

30. December 2015 – 24 Residents and 70 Employees

We are fully booked and are taking care of 24 guests at the Baan Tschuai Duu Lää. The number of employees has grown to over 70 employees. CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. has become one of the largest employers in Rawai, Phuket.

February 2017 – Start Project “Sino Rawai”

Construction of our new CAREWELL “Sino Rawai” care resort begins.

February 2018 – Soon it will be finish

CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. – The new building is almost finished, we are all waiting to move in.

June 2019 – Our new CAREWELL rebranding is ready!

After almost 10 years we decided to undergo a facelift. Here is the new face of the CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. brand.

2020 – Corona has us all under control

The corona pandemic demanded everything from us as nursing staff and also from our relatives. LOCKDOWN!

During the initial phase of COVID-19 we were forced to quarantine for 3 months. Due to the safety regulations we imposed on ourselves, we did not have to register any illnesses in the first twelve months.

2021 – “Sino Villa Anita” is available to our guests

After a short renovation phase, the great and spacious “Villa Anita” is now available to our guests directly adjacent to the CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. care resort, with two great studios and two large guest rooms. Own beautiful pool and fantastic garden.

February 2022 – Certified by the Thai Ministry of Public Health

After a year of preparation, CAREWELL SERVICE Co. Ltd. was audited in February 2022 and received certification as a nursing home according to the new regulation. We are proud to be among the first to successfully complete the certification in the south of Thailand and to be the only certified nursing home in Phuket.

September 2025 – A little dachshund lady conquers CAREWELL

In September, we had the pleasure of welcoming a very special new resident: the charming little dachshund lady “Dolly,” who arrived at CAREWELL together with her owner. With her curious eyes, keen nose, and cheerful tail wag, she has been exploring the grounds ever since – bringing smiles to the faces of our guests and staff every single day. A little ray of sunshine on short legs who has truly conquered our resort!

CAREWELL employs trained and qualified physical therapists who ensure that our guests receive the therapy they need. A training plan tailored specifically to each resident is developed and adapted to their progress.

Massage Therapy

Massages are considered one of the oldest remedies. They relax and revitalize, loosen up tense muscles, promote blood circulation and stimulate the metabolism. During the massage, the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles and deeper tissues are treated with the hands or special equipment. As an accompanying therapy, various massages are prescribed by our therapists at CAREWELL and carried out by a trained masseur or physiotherapist.

Animal-Assisted Therapy

In animal-assisted therapy or general animal-assisted activities, primarily sensory perception is promoted. In this way, restrictions or losses of the senses (e.g. sight or hearing) can be better managed and accepted. At CAREWELL, our residents meet dogs, cats or linger by the large koi pond.
